SJP NYC will appeal to a majority of the masses

SJP NYCLet me just say right off the bat that Sarah Jessica Parker NYC Perfume by Sarah Jessica Parker for Women is not a fragrance for me. Oh, it should be, in theory, with it’s notes of gardenia and rum. But it turns weird on me, and although my husband is absolutely fascinated with it (he says it reminds him of a high school girlfriend who wore Poison all the time) I can’t bring myself to like it. However, I can completely understand the appeal – I wanted to like it. What’s not to like? It’s Sarah Jessica Parker! It’s named after NYC! The notes, while common, are fresh and mostly lovely! I have no explanation, other than it just doesn’t mix with my skin chemistry at all. In fact, it doesn’t do either of us any favors when it’s on my skin. Obviously, that isn’t true for everyone, given the raves this fragrance has been receiving lately.

The fragrance is billed as a fruity floral that is both sophisticated and addictive. The top notes include:

  • wild red strawberries
  • Italian mandarin
  • white osmanthus

Middle notes include:

  • gardenia
  • honeysuckle
  • mimosa

Base notes include:

  • rum flavor
  • sandalwood
  • creamy musks

This fragrance is available just about everywhere, including Macys and Amazon.com
.
