I’ve talked about epilators before, and I am a big fan, especially in the summer. They make the whole hair removal thing super easy, and it doesn’t hurt. Really. I wouldn’t lie to you.
The trick is to use it often. The first time is going to be more painful than it ever will be again, because you are removing a lot of hair. Future sessions won’t be nearly as bad, plus you will be more used to it. Use it once a week or so, and you will be hair free for weeks.
My beloved Emjoi Soft Caress Electric Hair Remover finally died from overuse, and I needed a new epilator, stat. So I took myself to Ulta and picked up the Remington
Smooth & Silky Epilator Kit. The head is actually removable, and comes with a different head that is smaller and can fit into those hard to reach areas and the facial area. The heads are quick and easy to change. The best part? It works. While I loved my Emjoi Soft Caress Electric Hair Remover, and probably would have bought it again if it would have been available at my Ulta, I am very happy with my Smooth & Silky Epilator Kit. The only thing I find confusing about it is the battery/power cord. You can plug it in and charge it up, but it doesn’t seem to hold a charge very long. As in, not even a full session. But if you keep it plugged in, it’s totally fine and doesn’t lose power at all. It’s really not a big deal, but if you’re looking for the wireless epilator experience, this is not it. Plan on using it while plugged in and wired up.
Outside of that, however, it’s a super easy product to use, and I’m really pleased with it. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and the price is right. You can pick one up at Target and Ulta. If you’re Canadian, you can find it at Wal-Mart.
