Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim: Make Up For Ever at Nicolita

Adirenne Bailon at Nicolita MBFW SwimIt was all about the fuchsia lip at the Nicolita show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami last week. Make Up For Ever Alliance Artist James Vincent (also of The Makeup Show fame) went for an updated feel of a classic look. Here are the products he used:

Sculpting Blush Powder Blush
in # 8, Satin Indian Pink on the apples of the cheeks, then used Super Matte Loose Powder Translucent Natural 12 all over the face for a smooth, matte look.

Because this had a retro-modern look, James wanted the focus of the eyes to be on the heavy outer lashes. He combined Make Up For Ever Eye Shadow in #17 (Espresso) and #165 (Dark Taupe Brown) with Diamond Powder in #312 (Dark Copper Shimmer) and #306 (Copper Shimmer) and used on the entire eye. He blended everything deep into the crease and smudged it around the lash line for a soft smoky look. He finished the eye by lining it with Aqua Liner in black and finishing with Smoky Lash Mascara.

The lips had a bright pop, which he created by lining with Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil in #16C, and topping it with Rouge Artist Intense in #36.

The Make Up For Ever official face chart is available for download.
