Julep Nail Polish fall 2011 collection is exciting

I love nail polish. I am not as good with it as all my nail bloggers are, but I aspire to be like them. In fact, I just purchased my first dotting tool, and plan to sit down tonight and use the heck out of it.

When Julep sent me their fall box, I was so excited to try them out. These are truly fall colors, and each of them is lovely in their own way. The collection includes:

Julep Zoe Swatch

Zoe: a zesty smoky burnt umber – I found this perfect for the fall holidays. It’s what I will be wearing at Thanksgiving dinner, it just reminds me of fall

Julep Alfre Swatch

Alfre: royal metropolitan purple with a hint of shimmer – The shimmer in this polish really makes it. I wore this one for three days, which is a long time for me.

Julep Emilie Swatch

Emilie: a statement making forest green – this one was my favorite of the four. The green is dark and very creamy, no shimmer at all. I used a high shine top coat to make it stand out, but I’ll be trying it soon with a matte top coat to see if I like it as much. It was also one of my colors at my wedding, which was a lifetime ago.

Julep Olivia Swatch

Olivia: rich and graceful, a dark chocolate truffle – this reminds me of hot coffee on a cold day. Since that’s such a good association for me, it’s a winner. I ┬ánever thought I would like a dark brown on my nails, but I’m now a believer.

All of Julep’s formulas are 4-Free , which means that they do not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, or DBP. Also, Julep donates $1 of every bottle to Powered by Girlfriends, an ongoing program that donates to organizations that empower and support women, a very worthy cause that is close to my own heart.
What do you think? Could you see yourself wearing that forest green?
