The weather is cooling off, and that means that I’m going to have some dry hands and cuticles. I’m hard on my cuticles, too, so the colder weather doesn’t do them any favors whatsoever. But one way I’ve managed to keep the damage to a minimum is to do a weekly hand scrub, followed by a moisturizing lotion and a good sleep in some cotton gloves.
The scrub I’ve been using religiously is (seed) Therapeutic Hand Scrub – it’s fantastic.
(seed) Therapeutic Hand Scrub is an all natural product that is full of antioxidants and fatty acids to keep skin looking brighter and healthier. It’s free from parabens and pthalates, gluten and dairy free, as well as cruelty free. It’s simple to use, just squeeze out a bit (enough for both hands) and gently work into the palms, backs of hands, and cuticles. Rinse well and follow with a good moisturizer. If you want an amazing experience, do this before bed, then apply cotton gloves before retiring for the night. Not fancy enough to own cotton gloves? No worry. Use 100% cotton socks. In fact, do this entire regimen on both hands and feet, cover, and wake up with fabulous hands and feet.
(seed) Therapeutic Hand Scrub can be found at many health food stores for about $6.
