This week’s mani: red poppies for the holiday season

I’m not much of a nail art person, but I was thrown into it recently when my daughter decided she wanted to do a school project on nail art. I had to get a education fairly quick. I had no idea there was so much out there! Most of it isn’t my style, but I ran across some Dried Red Flowers that looked like poppies, so I had to try them out.

I started with two coats of Orly’s White Tip French Manicure for a really stark white. Then I added one coat of this limited edition Orly Holiday gold glitter top coat that I no longer know the name of, which is fine, because it’s no longer available. It’s probably a few years old, and I’m only slightly exaggerating. Instead, use one coat of any gold glitter polish. Then, while it’s still wet, apply one of the poppy flowers and press lightly with an orange stick. After that layer is moderately dry, add a top coat of your choice. If the flower doesn’t stick to your glitter coat, use a touch of nail glue (a.k.a. superglue). Always use a top coat for a little extra protection.

Super easy!
