Serums are such a versatile item to add into your skin care routine, with a serum for just about every need. They are light, easy to apply, and bring with them all different kinds of benefits. From anti-aging to acne, dark spot correction to firming, you can find a serum that fits your needs perfectly. Unsure where to start? Here are some favorites of mine to consider.
- DDF Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer: this lightweight yet very moisturizing serum combines hydration with pore minimizer, making it an excellent double tasker. Use each morning and see if you can skip your usual makeup primer. $85 at Sephora.
- Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution: if you’re struggling with hyperpigmentation from sun damage or old acne scars, this serum is for you. Activated vitamin C helps prevent melanin clusters from forming and breaks up existing clusters. $49.50 at Kiehls.com.
- Lancome Genifique Concentrate: Lancome’s newest addition to it’s skincare line, Genifique stimulates the production of “youth proteins” and makes skin noticeably softer in a couple of weeks (in my experience). Used morning and night, this brings an extra shot of anti-aging to your existing regime.
- Murad Acne and Wrinkle Reducer: how about those of us who still suffer from breakouts but also need anti-aging products? Another double tasker, this serum will tackle existing breakouts with 0.5% salicylic acid and their proprietary Kombucha Collagen Defense helps restore and stimulate collagen production, which we all need for healthy, soft skin.
