While these are the Tigi products that you know and love, there is an amazing limited edition packaging collaboration coming soon with three urban artists: Nicholas Saunders, Jim Mahfood, and Harry Woolacott. Due to hit stores this summer, Tigi reworked the packages of four of their iconic products: Bed Head, Small Talk, Masterpiece, and Hard Head. Bed Head ($19.50) is an absolute favorite of mine, and if you have frizz-prone hair, you should be loving it too. This lightweight cream applied to dry hair calms it right down. I love this on rainy days or mornings after – it really tames it and makes hair presentable. After Party was reworked by Nicholas Saunders, a screenprinter and illustrator who lives in Manchester, England. Saunders has worked for Macy’s, Nike, and Warner Bros, and was selected as one of the best illustrators of 2011 by Creative Review.
Small Talk ($17.50) is a 3-in-1 formula: an energizer that gives life to hair, a stylizer that defines and controls, as well as light to medium hold and manageability. A real life multitasker! Reworked by Jim Mahfood (aka Food One), who is considered a big shot authority figure in illustration, advertising, comic books, murals, fine art, animation and custom body-painting. How awesome do you have to be to be an expert in body painting? Seriously.
Masterpiece($19.50) is a hairspray that brings serious hold along with some serious shine. Not only does it guard against dryness, but it resists humidity and adds body, too. When you’re using heat tools, spritz sections while styling then again all over the head when you are done. Harry Woolacott, an artist who works in murals, graffiti, illustration, photography, 3D animation and film making, reworked Masterpiece.
Hard Head ($16.50) was also reworked by Jim Mahfood. Hard Head has incredibly strong hold as well as conditioning properties to prevent damage. Safe for color treated hair, the extreme hold works on all types of hair types, from thin to coarse. You can literally defy gravity with this formula, if that’s your thing.
