Lindsay’s 6126 Line Appears to be a Lot of Copying
File this one under “no one is really all that surprised,” but word is getting out that Lindsay’s 6126 line might be full of copycat designs.
I know, I’m shocked too. Really.
The first word to hit the street that something was up was when James Lillis, designer of Black Milk clothing, pointed out the similarities between LiLo’s “Diamond” leggings with his “Sheer Spartans.”
Uh oh. That’s no good. Check out James Lillis’ blog for his side of the story.
Then Fashionista.com noticed that a dress Lindsay wore last year by designer Jen Kao is strikingly familiar to the “Deserve” dress in Lindsay’s collection. Obviously Jen Kao had plenty to say about it. Read that and the entire messy story over at WWD.
Bad form, Linds. If you can’t design your own stuff, at least hire someone who can. Stealing isn’t nice, even if imitiation is the best form of flattery.
