Christie’s Green Auction encourages everyone to save the Earth

Christie’s has joined with NBC Universal and four leading environmental organizations to form a unique partnership, to raise awareness and funds for the protection of our planet, culminating with the inaugural Christies’ Green Auction on April 22, the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.  The carbon neutral auction will have live and online components, featuring world-renowned works of art, exotic travel packages and unique celebrity experiences.

Christie’s and its partners in the inaugural Green Auction released this public service announcement (directed by Nicole Mackinlay Hahn), to inspire people around the world to participate in Earth Day activities, including the Green Auction.  The Green Auction brand campaign – A Bid to Save the Earth – is reflected throughout the 3-minute PSA with notable participants, like musician Michael Stipe, actor Matthew Modine, Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz, Paper Magazine’s Kim Hastreiter, Scott Mackinly Hahn of Loomstate, surfer Kassia Meador, Estee Lauder model Constance Jablonski and threeASFOUR designers, Adi, Ange and Gabi, making a bid.  The make a bid message is a call to action for citizens around the world to make a positive step forward on April 22, the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.
