Two things: leopard is still in for fall, and Talbots has stepped up to the plate

I’m not going to lie, I absolutely love this look. The animal print and the black hat with the “mismatched” long brown gloves. I have a very similar look that I created two winters ago with a faux leopard vintage coat from Echoes of Time, a shop here in Virginia Beach. I added a black cloche hat and some long knit black gloves, since the sleeve is 3/4 length on the vintage coat. It’s one of my favorite looks for outerwear, so I’m so glad to see it in the mainstream. I’m inspired to try the brown leather gloves, though. Especially with some gold bling on them.

A full view here. I love how Talbots has combined the “classy” leopard jacket and hat combo with a slouchy pair of cropped boyfriend jeans. Very modern. I’m going to take a pass on the shoes, but everything else looks great. I don’t remember Talbots being so trendy, so clearly they are stepping up their game.

The giraffe print is very chic, and the shoes actually work this time. Again, this just doesn’t scream Talbots to me, so clearly I need to give them a second chance. The entire fall collection will be online soon, but in the meantime, check out Talbots.com to see how their style has changed.
