new sandals from shoe wooI found my new favorite shoe store – Shoe Woo. Or, at least it’s my favorite when there isn’t a Nordstroms handy.

I found Shoe Woo at Union Station in Washington DC when I was waiting for my Amtrak train back to Virginia Beach. Amazing what you find at that place, I swear! Anyway, the brand name is actually Shoe Woo, but I was unable to find them on their website, which made me sad. Everyone should be able to buy these things.

At any rate, they are doing a 30% off sale, and carry brands such as Nine West/Boutique 9, Rachel Ray, Anne Klein, New Balance, Joan and David, and many more.

Shopping isn’t limited to just shoes. They also carry super cute accessories such as handbags, watches, scarves, and other extras. Check them out at ShoeWoo.com.

zac posen for targetLike many of Target’s capsule collections, I’m always really intrigued, then get to the store and find that most of the pieces just aren’t for me. However, I usually pick up at least one thing from each one – in fact, one of my favorite winter coats came from the Erin Fetherston collection, I have a top from Liberty of London, and other odds and ends. No full collection – or even close to it. So I see a few things I want to take a closer look at from this collection, after all, who doesn’t love a little Zac Posen? But I won’t be surprised if I end up with just one or two things. This collection looks like it’s geared to the younger crowd, so that’s something to bear in mind too. However, the accessories with any of these capsules are always worth a second look. Take a closer look at the collection after the jump.

It’s been a number of years since I’ve been in Paris, and I don’t have any immediate plans to get there in the future, but that doesn’t stop me from keeping a list of places that I must visit. Since I’ve seen all the amazing historical places as well as the museums (yes, the Louvre is lovely, but do visit the Musee de Orsay – it’s well worth the visit), mostly what I’m interested in is cultural. And of course, shopping.

Comptoir des Cotonnier dropped me a note recently to let me know they had moved into a new place on the Left Bank, and it sounds absolutely lovely. Meant to feel like a Parisian apartment, the new space is dressed in white, light gray, and taupe. It has arched ceilings, sofas, a real library stocked with fashion and design books, a personalized playlist, and a chevron wooden floor. The lighting is soft, with table and suspended lighting, and the furniture only adds to the feeling of being in a plush, intimate atmosphere.

It makes me want to book a flight to Paris. If only!

I love, love, love shopping in consignment stores. It’s the thrill of the hunt, and finding that one item that you know you won’t find elsewhere, and it’s in exactly your size! And the money you can save, well, I’ve found some amazing bargains in consignment shops (such as a Burberry sweater and skirt set for $150).
Tra Tutti brings the consignment shopping experience to your very own computer. Put your jammies on, have a cup of tea, and browse through the virtual racks at Tra Tutti. I guarantee you will find something so cute you’ll die at a price you can truly afford.
Trust me, put those endless eBay searches behind you and do your resale shopping this way. You won’t be sorry that you did.
