de-fuse is a new ultra chic designer brand. The collection contains looks that have flowing silhouettes mixed with hard lines, a black, silver and white colour palette and an edgy aesthetic, making this collection a must-have for women seeking unrestricted style for this Fall/Winter.
The styles are loose and flowing while still retaining structure enough. No bright colors or florals here – this is a return to utilitarian fashion, evoking usefulness and efficiency. Short slideshow after the jump.

I may not have a whole lot of great things to say about her husband (credit where credit is due, however – he’s clearly a brilliant businessman), but Melania Trump always looks amazing. This year, she dressed in my absolute favorite designer, Christian Siriano, for the Met Gala.
She says of working with Christian, “It has been wonderful working with the young and talented designer, Christian Siriano. The dress for The Costume Institute Metropolitan Gala is a beautiful royal blue color; bold yet soft and elegant. Christian immediately knew what type of statement I wanted to make…a dress with a lot of drama…and he achieved that for me! I greatly admire his fashion creativity and I look forward to wearing many more of Christian’s creations!”
Christian of course responded with “It was such a wonderful experience working with Melania to create this gown for her. She is the epitome of what a fabulous woman should represent with style and class. Melania wanted this dress to be about drama and glamour so that is what we did. The gown is made of Royal blue satin-faced organza and the color I recently used in my Fall 2010 collection. The draped bodice is fitted to the hip and the skirt of the dress is full with tucks and gathers creating a cascading wave – like movement. The dress is very sculptural but also very romantic and soft giving her many shapes when she turns in different directions. ”
The color is absolutely brilliant, and I adore the draping at the bottom of the dress with the contrasting fitted bodice.
Last night’s episode of Gossip Girl (Ex-Husbands and Wives) featured Leighton Meester wearing a piece from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. The Hutton Trench is seen here in Floral Cloque.

Elisa Palomino, who recently had her first runway show at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, has released her fall/winter ready to wear collection. Fun, very feminine, and extremely color-driven, the line is inspired by 1920′s Japanese illustrator Kasho Takahata who had the majority of his work published in post-war teen fashion magazines. The illustations often highlighted the divide between traditional Japanese fashion and the desire to emulate their Western counterparts. See the entire collection after the jump.

Tom Ford at the 2010 Academy Awards
We all know how I feel about Tom Ford. But in the words of Tim Gunn, I’m concerned. I’m not digging the hair, but more alarming is the amount of botox that is currently occupying his forehead. I’m all for giving things a tweak, but come on, Tom. Those eyes are too sexy to hide.
