de-fuse is a new ultra chic designer brand. The collection contains looks that have flowing silhouettes mixed with hard lines, a black, silver and white colour palette and an edgy aesthetic, making this collection a must-have for women seeking unrestricted style for this Fall/Winter.
The styles are loose and flowing while still retaining structure enough. No bright colors or florals here – this is a return to utilitarian fashion, evoking usefulness and efficiency. Short slideshow after the jump.
New York based designer Rebecca Minkoff will be launching an exclusive collection at Saks Fifth Avenue. Shapes include drawstring bucket bags, oversized classic totes, and side saddle messenger bags in her signature exotic skins crafted in an entirely new shape.
“I chose to partner with Saks to launch my collection line because of the timeless luxury and superior quality the store represents,” said Minkoff. “It is an exciting honor to join the list of exclusive luxury handbag designers available at Saks Fifth Avenue.”
The resort collections are out, and one of the few that actually grabbed my interest was by one of my favorite designers, Erin Fetherston. “For resort, I was inspired by the French film, L’Amant. I wanted to capture an effortless, chic sensibility in an offering with lots of mix and matchability,” Erin Fetherston said.

Elisa Palomino, who recently had her first runway show at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, has released her fall/winter ready to wear collection. Fun, very feminine, and extremely color-driven, the line is inspired by 1920′s Japanese illustrator Kasho Takahata who had the majority of his work published in post-war teen fashion magazines. The illustations often highlighted the divide between traditional Japanese fashion and the desire to emulate their Western counterparts. See the entire collection after the jump.
Like many of Target’s capsule collections, I’m always really intrigued, then get to the store and find that most of the pieces just aren’t for me. However, I usually pick up at least one thing from each one – in fact, one of my favorite winter coats came from the Erin Fetherston collection, I have a top from Liberty of London, and other odds and ends. No full collection – or even close to it. So I see a few things I want to take a closer look at from this collection, after all, who doesn’t love a little Zac Posen? But I won’t be surprised if I end up with just one or two things. This collection looks like it’s geared to the younger crowd, so that’s something to bear in mind too. However, the accessories with any of these capsules are always worth a second look. Take a closer look at the collection after the jump.
The images of 1940s and ’50s Americana have long captivated the imaginations of designers Misha Nonooand Deborah Lyons. The elegance and glamour of iconic pin-ups of a bygone era, who began their careers on the boardwalks of Coney Island served as the inspiration that roused the nostalgic, daringly playful and effortlessly feminine images that comprise the Spring/Summer 2010 Nonoo Lyons collection.
A collection founded on principles of effortless grace, flawless craftsmanship and the finest European fabrics has been has expanded to include 12 styles. Fashioned from rubber coated tweeds (Miss Demember), leopard print water proof taffetas (Miss August), cobalt blue silks (Miss October), and bright white cotton faille (Miss May), Nonoo Lyonsjackets are made exclusively by local tailors in New York City.
Erin Fetherston found her inspiration in iconic Chelsea girl Nico, and gave us flowing dresses with a sharp rock and roll tailored edge. Looks included everything from flowing chiffon dresses to slimming shifts. Spring lilac, nude, and sage were offset by a sharp white/black/orange contrast. Lace, chiffon, leather and velvet all bring some edge and/or softness to the collection.
