In the fall, I always suffer from a boot obsession. I want to buy them all and start wearing them constantly. This usually takes place before the weather has turned, forcing me to deny myself both the wearing of and the purchasing of said boots. I saw this picture of Fergie wearing her own line of boots, and it started my boot obsession cycle up again. Check out her cute boots ($165 on sale) at FergieShoes.com.
Erin Fetherston said that she was inspired by “aphrodisiac,” and her glamorous collection certainly fits that. It’s filled with pieces that inspire wanderlust, a traveler who explores the most unique and colorful locales and collects these images and uses them as inspiration for her own wardrobe. Old Hollywood glamour shows just a bit here, and it’s always refreshing to see that.
Rather than doing your typical show, Timo Weiland did a presentation where the audience could walk through and take a closer look at each of the looks in the collection. It was actually quite nice and afforded everyone a good view, rather than just the elite in the first three rows.
de-fuse is a new ultra chic designer brand. The collection contains looks that have flowing silhouettes mixed with hard lines, a black, silver and white colour palette and an edgy aesthetic, making this collection a must-have for women seeking unrestricted style for this Fall/Winter.
New York based designer Rebecca Minkoff will be launching an exclusive collection at Saks Fifth Avenue. Shapes include drawstring bucket bags, oversized classic totes, and side saddle messenger bags in her signature exotic skins crafted in an entirely new shape.
The resort collections are out, and one of the few that actually grabbed my interest was by one of my favorite designers, Erin Fetherston
Dr Martens and Sanrio have teamed up for an amazing collection – a small, exclusive line featuring Hello Kitty on the now iconic 1460 8-eye boot and mary jane strap shoes.
Elisa Palomino, who recently had her first runway show at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, has released her fall/winter ready to wear collection.
Like many of Target’s capsule collections, I’m always really intrigued, then get to the store and find that most of the pieces just aren’t for me. However, I usually pick up at least one thing from each one – in fact, one of my favorite winter coats came from the Erin Fetherston collection, I have a top from Liberty of London, and other odds and ends. No full collection – or even close to it. So I see a few things I want to take a closer look at from this collection, after all, who doesn’t love a little Zac Posen?
