The shopping event of the year in NYC during Fashion Week is going worldwide.
For year two, the fun will last even longer with Fashion’s Night Out events spanning more than a week. France will kick off FNO on the 7th of September, with Britain and Korea on the 8th, Australia, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Spain on the 9th, India, Russia and the United States on the 10th, China, Japan and Taiwan on the 11th, with Greece and Turkey bringing the event to a close on the 16th September.
All of the international events will be documented in the documentary they are making as well.
This year, Fashion’s Night Out is staging the largest ever public fashion show in New York City history! On September 7th, 200 of the industry’s top models will storm Lincoln Center and present the show of a lifetime. The show, produced by Vogue in conjunction with SPEC Entertainment, will highlight key trends of the Fall 2010 season (as identified by the magazine), will feature merchandise intended for fall delivery, and inspire shoppers as they prepare their wish lists for the main Fashion’s Night Out event on Friday, September 10th. Nearly 1,500 guests are expected to be in attendance and tickets will be available through the Lincoln Center box office later this summer, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting The New York City AIDS Fund.
Erin Fetherston found her inspiration in iconic Chelsea girl Nico, and gave us flowing dresses with a sharp rock and roll tailored edge. Looks included everything from flowing chiffon dresses to slimming shifts. Spring lilac, nude, and sage were offset by a sharp white/black/orange contrast. Lace, chiffon, leather and velvet all bring some edge and/or softness to the collection.
